GB. S-cube Sailmaker is the first Spidertech Authorized sailmaker in France: how do you feel
about this?

PB. Yes, sure. It is a sort of trade between our expertise and Spidertech Integrated System: actually we are the one in France. We had a First 36.7 and Semaphores (Sormiou 28) in 2007, getting a 1st and a 4th place at the SNIM Race (240 competitors)..

GB. Calvi Hiroshi 3rd at Acura-Key West, almost a monopoly in the Mumm 30 fleet, successfully performances at Pasquavela Regatta: Spidertech is a guarantee in Italy. What is the situation in France?

PB. I espect the French market to open up to this new tecnology and result to increase. Often one defies to new tecnologies, but after all, 2 year research and development, including various victories in international sailraces should convince anybody. We already have a great number of demands from local boatowners, who participate in local, international and ocean races. We are very happy with this kind of response.

GB. How will you launch the product in the Franch market?

PB. We are counting on the press communication through specially magazines in the sailing world, making public the excellent results achieved with the use of Spidertech. The other sailmakers will listen and follow and we will sustain them in the use of the Spidertech technology. Our centre in Maseille can accommodate training courses and meeting.

GB. What kind of race objectives do the sailmaker intend to meet with the Spidertech’s System?

PB. Thanks to the victories last November (SNIM and Hyeres) our immediate goals have been reached. Porquerolles Sailing Week (May, 12th) is the next appointment for the Sormiou 28, while we are working on a Sormiou 35 sail plan. We are working in pairs with boatbuilders to give Spidertech’s sails as a series product.

GB. How is the feed-back of the yachtsman?

PB. We hope to gain their trust and build an ongoing and constructive relationship improving their boat and its performance. But I am certain that the first results will speak by themselves and wake their curiosity
