Marina di Ravenna, April 22nd
More and more boats have chosen Spidertech’s membrane sails in Mumm 30 regattas. Cheyenne won the second leg powered by Montefusco’s new sails. Skippered by Matteo Ivaldi, Cheyenne’s team won the leg ahead of Uka Uka (tactician Tiziano Nava) and Diletta, Mauro Mocchegiani’s boat with Andrea Casale on board.
The 8 runs were characterized by light northerly winds. (more…)

Continua a crescere il numero di armatori che si affidano alla tecnologia Spidertech per le vele della propria barca. Cheyenne ha inaugurato con una vittoria di tappa un nuovo gioco di vele della veleria Montefusco. Guidato da Matteo Ivaldi, l’equipaggio ravennate ha chiuso al primo posto davanti ad Uka Uka, con Tiziano Nava alla tattica. Buon terzo posto per Diletta (vele Montefusco), imbarcazione anconetana armata da Mauro Mocchegiani con Andrea Casale a bordo.

GB. S-cube Sailmaker is the first Spidertech Authorized sailmaker in France: how do you feel
about this?
PB. Yes, sure. It is a sort of trade between our expertise and Spidertech Integrated System: actually we are the one in France. We had a First 36.7 and Semaphores (Sormiou 28) in 2007, getting a 1st and a 4th place at the SNIM Race (240 competitors)..
GB. Calvi Hiroshi 3rd at Acura-Key West, almost a monopoly in the Mumm 30 fleet, successfully performances at Pasquavela Regatta: Spidertech is a guarantee in Italy. What is the situation in France?
PB. I espect the French market to open up to this new tecnology and result to increase. Often one defies to new tecnologies, but after all, 2 year research and development, including various victories in international sailraces should convince anybody. We already have a great number of demands from local boatowners, who participate in local, international and ocean races. We are very happy with this kind of response. (more…)
S-Cube è la prima veleria francese Spidertech Integrated System Authorized: un bel primato per un’azienda di piccole-medie dimensioni già proiettata nel futuro. Abbiamo raggiunto telefonicamente il titolare, Patric Boronat, che ci ha illustrato le potenzialità della tecnologia Spidertech per lo sviluppo di una veleria artigianale.
G.B. S-Cube è la prima veleria francese autorizzata Spidertech Sistema Integrato: una grande soddisfazione per un’azienda di piccole dimensioni ?
PB. Si, certo. E’ soprattutto uno scambio di conoscenze. Una combinazione tra il nostro know-how e questo sistema. Attualmente siamo la sola veleria francese autorizzata all’uso del Sistema Integrato Spidertech.
Abbiamo equipaggiato un First 36.7 e Sémaphore (Sormiou 28) per la stagione 2007. Possiamo già vantare un 1° e un 4° posto nella regata SNIM: una grande vittoria per noi.

19 boats (6 with Spidertech’s membrane) colourfully painted Ravenna sea waters for Rosetti Trophy, a classic Adriatic race valid as the selection of IMS Italian Championship.
Sails made by Olimpic Sailmaker and Spidertech technology on board of the GS 37 made also win the Teams’ Trophy.
In Veneto/Friuli Venezia Giulia team the other boats raced: L’Ottavo Peccatto (M37) and Bohemia Express (GS 42R).

Riecco Sagola: il Gs 37 armato da Fausto Pierobon chiude al 2° posto
19 barche partecipanti (di cui 6 con membrane Spidertech) hanno colorato il mare di Ravenna in occasione del Trofeo Rosetti, classica adriatica valida come selezione per i campionati italiani IMS. Vele Olimpic Sails e tecnologia Spidertech sul GS 37 friulano, che ha vinto anche la classifica a squadre. Nel team Veneto/Friuli Venezia Giulia anche L’Ottavo Peccato (M37) e Bohemia Express (GS 42R).

Sagola si aggiudica il Trofeo PrimaVela 2007, con una vittoria in volata nell’ultimo giorno di regate
Caorle, domenica 1 aprile 2007. Organizzato dal Circolo Nautico Santa Margherita, il classico appuntamento primaverile ha visto davanti un’altra barca con membrane Spidertech. Invelato da Olimpic Sails, il GS 37 di Fausto Pierobon ha messo in fila un’ottima serie di piazzamenti che l’ha collocato al primo posto in classifica generale, dopo il serrato duello con il veloce Ottavo Peccato, l’M 37 già campione italiano IMS.

S. Stefano, 9th April
Another success gained for Spidertech Integrated System at Pasquavela edition concluded last 9th April. Spidertech has confirmed the quality of its membranes in Argentario’s waters. Sun, calm sea and light wind (less than 10 knots) have been the key elements for the success. Important results for IRC class, where 19 boats out of 63 employ Spidertech.

Santo Stefano, lunedì 9 aprile.
Si è conclusa un’edizione di Pasquavela senza troppe sorprese per Spidertech Sistema Integrato, che ha riconfermato la validità delle membrane anche nelle acque dell’Argentario. Sole, mare calmo e venti mai superiori ai 10 nodi hanno fatto da cornice alle 160 barche partecipanti. Risultati importanti dal raggruppamento IRC, nel quale 19 barche su 63 usano membrane Spidertech.

A three days regatta characterized by light northerly winds, nine runs and fifteen boats on the starting line: these are the main numbers of the first leg of the Mumm30 Italian championship, meeting where professional and amateur sailors have been involved in.

Spidertech Integrated System is on more boats every year. Nine out of fifteen Mumm30 on Rimini’s water have been served by Montefusco sailmaker using Spidertech technology: Calvi-Hiroshi(3rd), Magic Albini & Fontanot (4th), Matrix(5th), Spirit of Simone(7th), Parimor Thule (6th), Parimor Thule (7th) Diletta(9th), Mummona(10th), Spidermumm(11th), Mordilla(14th). “Almost a monopoly”,- is the opinion of a smiling Sandro Montefusco, mainsail trimmer on Parimor Thule,” these days we have been slowed down by propeller troubles, but the boat was really fast”.
Calvi Hiroshi crew, thought to be the best side to bet on for this leg, was satisfied by the boat speed in all weather conditions tested, although they finished third. “ We had to run with the spare boat”,- Shipowner Giulietti told us,” because our main boat has been involved in a transportation delay. Although the boat was not perfectly trimmed, we have been satisfied by her speed, speed that has saved us from unstable wind.”
Magic Albini & Fontanot e Matrix have been racing with Spidertech sails as well, counting on the experience of Gabriele Benussi and Pietro D’Alì on board: a good series of partial results for them.
Speaking from Parimor’s cockpit, Sandro Montefusco gives us his sailmaker opinion: “Spidertech works really well: the feedback from the shipowners is outstanding and none of the boats competing powered by our sails has been proved slow”.
This first leg has been an important test for Spidertech and all boats have reached the intended performances. Next leg on Marina di Ravenna water, on the 20-22 April.

Tre giorni di regate caratterizzate da venti deboli settentrionali, nove prove disputate e 15 barche iscritte: questi i numeri della I prima tappa del circuito nazionale Mumm 30, appuntamento che ha coinvolto campioni ed appasionati del panorama velico nazionale.
Spidertech Sistema Integrato affianca sempre più barche.
Nove dei quindici Mumm 30 in acqua a Rimini sono invelati dalla veleria Montefusco con tecnologia Spidertech: Calvi-Hiroschi (3°), Magic Albini & Fontanot (4°), Matrix (5°), Spirit of Simone (6°), Diletta (9°), Mummona (10°), Spidermumm (11°), Mordilla (14°). “Quasi un monopolio - commenta scherzando Sandro Montefusco, randista di Parimor Thule – qui a Rimini siamo stati penalizzati da un problema all’elica, ma la barca era molto veloce”.
